SANDERSTEAD BIBLE WEEK … Monday 14 – Friday 18 August at All Saints Church, Sanderstead.  ‘The Word of God fresh for today’.  Do you ever wish you had a better understanding of the Bible?  Or that by reading it, your faith might come alive?  Come and hear our speakers open up passages from the bible, making clear the meaning and applying the truth to our everyday situations.  In the afternoons, Simon Stocks will speak on some of the Psalms, Old Testament Israel’s song and worship collection.  He will help us understand better who God is, and how to worship Him.  Simon has recently written a book, ‘Songs for Suffering: praying the Psalms in Times of Trouble’.  In our evening meetings, our speakers will take different New Testament passages, under the overall theme of ‘Amazing Grace’.  Come and find out what is so amazing about grace!  Whether you have read the bible for many years, or you feel that you have hardly started, Bible Week is for you.  (Full programme in St. John’s parish magazine).
