IT’S PRAM SERVICE THIS Tuesday, 20th February at 9.45 for 10.00 a.m. start in the Church.  We look forward to welcoming all babies, toddlers and preschoolers and their mums, dads, grannies, grandpas and other carers to this short time of praise and fun.  Come and join in with the action songs, rhymes, interactive story, prayers, and birthday celebrations … and stay for drinks and biscuits afterwards while we play and chat.  Last month we went on a journey across deserts and over mountains with the three kings and found special treasures in the three gifts we opened.  Who knows what we’ll get up to this Tuesday?  Why not come and find out?  If you’re free on Tuesday morning with a baby and/or pre-school child do come and join the fun – and don’t be nervous about coming on your own – lots of us started that way – and we’d really love to see you!

… AND ALSO ON TUESDAY (20th) …  MESSY CHURCH IS BACK …   after its half-term break.  All parents and other carers and their children will be welcome to come to the Church at 3.30 p.m. for ‘after-school’ activities – arts & crafts, Bible story, singing, lots of fun and tea – until 5.00 p.m.  So why not bring the children along if you’re meeting them from school?

More helpers are still needed in the church kitchen on Tuesday ‘Messy Church’ afternoons in school term-time, particularly with making tea, drinks and snacks … and if you were able to provide food for the tea e.g. sandwiches, pasta, etc. that would be a bonus.  If you could help in any way on some Tuesday afternoons between 3.30 – 5.00ish, or would like to find out more of what is involved, Christine McCutchion (01737 553681) would be delighted to hear from you.

THE WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER will be celebrated on Friday 2 March.  If you have a passion for mission and prayer you would not want to miss this year’s service, written by women from Suriname.  Coulsdon Methodist Church is hosting the service at 10.30am on Friday 2 March;  it is for all ages, and also for men as well as women.  The same words (but translated of course) will be said in each country starting at the International Date Line at 4am in Western Samoa (4pm UK time on Thursday 1 March) and proceeding through Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and on to America, finishing at the International Date Line at about 8am UK time on Saturday 3 March.  Would you like to stand in prayer with Christians in China, New Zealand, Sudan, Lebanon, Argentina and others?  What a privilege!    After the service refreshments will be served at the back of the Church and Traidcraft products will be on sale.

As we approach a time of joyful celebration in the Church calendar we ask if you might consider doing something for international relations…making a small but significant contribution towards greater understanding worldwide.  HOST’s mission is to give a welcome to international students in British homes for friendship and cultural exchange. Our volunteer hosts can offer hospitality for one day (daytime only) or three days and two nights at the weekend.  We operate all year round and would very much welcome more volunteer hosts to join us.  More information can be found on our website:   Or email us on:   Or telephone us on: 020 7739 6292
